PROPERTY NEWS: Tropicana reports a 100% take-up for its first industrial project

Key takeaway: Tropicana Corp Bhd recently announced that phase 1 of its first industrial venture, Tropicana Industrial Park, in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor, had been fully taken up.

Tropicana Industrial Park, according to a developer press release, serves light and medium companies and is also a "key industrial hub in Pontian district aimed to boost economic growth in the southern region."

Tropicana Industrial Park was also said to have "recently sold land pieces for a total consideration of roughly RM200 million."

Its proximity to the recently completed Sungai Pulai Bridge shortens travel time between Pontian and the Port of Tanjung Pelepas, while its strategic location near the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link "enables traffic to Tuas and the Jurong East industrial sector in Singapore as well."

According to Karen Lee, managing director of Southern, Tropicana Corp, Tropicana Industrial Park offers unequalled connections for investors with a plethora of centralised infrastructure, green features, and services.

“This is seen in the swift take-up for phase 1 to date. The recent transactions support the signature development’s rapid growth into a dynamic industrial hub that will propel enterprises forward. Its success is a testament to Tropicana’s unique development DNA,” said Lee.

Tropicana Industrial Park is located in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor's southern economic corridor, and extends over 1,188 acres.

The centre is comprised of eight interconnected, sustainable phases, with each phase containing property sizes ranging from one to three acres.
