PROPERTY NEWS: Sunway City Iskandar Puteri Receives the Highest Quality Score For Landed Homes

Key takeaway: Sunway City Iskandar Puteri (SCIP), a leading integrated township, has received a 90% Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIQ) score, the highest in 2021 for Sunway Lenang Heights and 89% for Sunway Citrine Lakehomes. The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) recognised the company's commitment and achievement in quality at an event held on 20 October and officiated by YB Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup, Deputy Minister of Works.

Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, nature's capital city, is a combination of six different precincts that come together in a strategic balance of nature and city. It is committed to creating complete livability through sustainability. Gerard Soosay, Chief Executive Officer of Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, stated that quality is of the utmost importance in creating quality community living in the thriving township.

The Quality Assessment System in Construction (QLASSIC) is a system or method for measuring and evaluating the craftsmanship quality of building construction work in accordance with the Construction Industry Standard (CIS 7:2006). QLASSIC uses a scoring system to objectively compare the quality of workmanship between construction projects.

QLASSIC assessments are performed on-site and are based on the principles of first-time inspection. Construction work that is corrected following an assessment will not be re-assessed. This principle's goal is to encourage the contractor to Do Things Right the First Time and Every Time.

Paul Lim, Managing Director of Inta Bina, the building contractors for Sunway Lenang Heights, stated that they are pleased to be working with SCIP on long-lasting developments and are optimistic about the partnership's future achievements.

SCIP hopes to achieve even more sustainable living for the community by launching a Go Green initiative that includes releasing mud balls, planting trees, and introducing recycling activities to the community.

SCIP is also planning to finish its Equine Hydrotherapy, Catamaran Boat, and Horse Riding facility, which will be an excellent support for water eco-tourism. SCIP anticipates the opening of Sunway 42 Iskandar Campus, a programming school with zero tuition fees, zero teachers, zero classes, and 100% coding, as well as the completion of Sunway TES JB, Malaysia's Number 1 accounting college, in 2023. SCIP, as a Master Community Developer, strives to provide the best for its community, which explains the long-term property investments that will continue to grow.
