Key takeaway:
An RM73.5 million flyover on Jalan Meru in Bandar Bukit Raja, Selangor, has been unveiled by Sime Darby Property Bhd.
With a dedicated strategy to improve smoother traffic flow toward the West Coast Expressway, the 420-meter flyover is anticipated to be advantageous for Jalan Meru road users (WCE).
The residents of Bandar Bukit Raja, Meru, and Kapar in Klang will benefit from the flyover's connection of drivers from Persiaran Sungai Keramat, Persiaran Astana, and Bandar Setia Alam.
The construction of the flyover, according to the group managing director Datuk Azmir Merican, was in keeping with the company's efforts to provide convenience to the residents and road users in one of its more established townships in Selangor.
Since it first opened two decades ago, Bandar Bukit Raja has evolved rapidly and now offers a variety of residential and business complexes.
He noted that the township, which is home to some of the company's largest industrial parks, including the Bandar Bukit Raja Industrial Gateway and the recently opened E-Metro Logistics Park, "contributes to the expansion of the company's industrial portfolio."
The flyover, Azmir said, had been built as a convenience for the nearby villages and township residents of the Sime Darby Property as well as an improvement to the traffic situation.
According to Sime Darby Property, the flyover will offer smooth access between the eastern and western halves of Bandar Bukit Raja, which as of now has 40,000 people.
Construction of the flyover remarked its completion in June 2022.
