What are SDGs? Peace for existing and future generations

SDG stands for Sustainable Development Goals. Simply say, it is "a set of goals to solve problems in the world" - a call for action by all countries to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.

I see… so it is our social responsibilities.
But how could SDGs impact our economy?

Based on Davos study, achieving SDGs can unlock:

$12 trillion in economic value
Employment of 308 million people

So it has become a major movement involving private companies.

Wow! That's a lot. So what are the goals?

  1. No Poverty
End poverty in all its forms everywhere

The food and agriculture sector offers key solutions for development and is central to hunger and poverty eradication.

Basically, the goals address the global challenges we face.
One goal complements another.
Not just for the people, but also for the planet.

I agree all of them are right to do... but how does it matter to me?

How are SDGs related to me?

Well, Owluu...Perhaps it is our time to reflect on our direction from a long-term perspective. Move forward by caring about the economy, environmental, and social needs without compromising any of these.

Yeah, you are right... most of us strive to gain financial benefits while neglecting other values...

So far, we are in prosperity by securing freedom from democracy and opportunity from capitalism on a certain level. We have to acknowledge it comes with responsibility and risk.

The question is... is it true prosperity for all people and the planet? No more materialism, bro.

Hmm... this is an eye-opening insight for me.
Anyway, I like their motto, "Leave no one behind".
Bro, don't leave me behind ya.
