PROPERTY NEWS: Ruma 33 by Glomac Bhd 100% sold out within three months since launch

Ruma 33, Glomac Bhd's hillside double-storey terraced house project, has sold out in less than three months from its inception in December 2021, according to a media statement released on June 7 by the developer.

Ruma 33 is located in Saujana Sungai Buloh, a mature sub-urban residential region within the broader Klang Valley, and has a gross development value (GDV) of roughly RM28.5 million.

All Ruma 33 residences have a dual façade design, with each unit having two frontages, and have a floor size ranging from 2,222 to 2,245 square feet.

Homes start at RM669,000 and are only 25 kilometres from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, with completion scheduled for 2023.

Despite the declining property market, Glomac group COO Zulkifly Garib highlighted an increase in demand for quality homes, particularly landed, with more space, despite the softening property market. This is due to the aftermath of COVID-19, which has impacted buyers' overall purchasing capacity.

"COVID-19 has had a huge impact on our way of living. Many people nowadays would rather stay at home than go outside. People are now working from home in greater numbers. As a result, we're seeing an increase in demand for larger, higher-quality landed properties," he said.

Meanwhile, Glomac has RM8 billion worth of prospective projects in the works and will be offering more property items for various market segments, including excellent affordable homes, in the near future.

The developer has numerous new projects planned for this year, including double-storey homes in Saujana KLIA and Rumah Selangorku villas at Glomac Lakeside Residence in Puchong.
