IJM Land has agreed to sell J&T Express 12.14 hectares (30 acres) of land in Bandar Rimbayu for RM600 million. On the newly purchased land, an international express logistic firm will construct a logistics centre to support the region's further expansion.
The corporation has committed RM600 million to the site purchase as well as the development of the warehouse facility, transforming it into a one-stop shop for express distribution, logistics, and warehousing.
"Rimbayu is Selangor's golden triangle, and we believe in the area's future development potential." "This year marks the fifth year since J&T Express began operations in Malaysia," said Roy Zeng, CEO of J&T Express Malaysia. We have decided to invest RM 600 million to purchase a parcel of land and construct a logistics centre in Malaysia, as part of our diverse expansion and strong momentum as a result of the regional market's continued growth. We think that by doing so, we will be able to boost the local economy, create jobs, and play a key role in the growth of the local logistics industry as well as the community's long-term development."
