PROPERTY NEWS: Gagasan Nadi Cergas unit secures RM189.8 million contract for construction of affordable housing

A unit of Paramount Corporation Bhd has awarded a RM189.8 million contract to Nadi Cergas Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gagasan Nadi Cergas Bhd, for the construction of reasonably priced high-rise apartments in Kemuning Utama, Shah Alam.

Nadi Cergas will design and build 929 residential units in the Kemuning Utama township in Shah Alam, Selangor, as part of the contract.

According to Gagasan Nadi Cergas group managing director Wan Azman Wan Kamal, the company has achieved strides in the management of its real estate and construction divisions.

"The affordable housing objective, particularly in high-growth metropolitan areas, is firmly on track, as the private and public sectors play their respective responsibilities to ensure the welfare of the people despite Malaysia's anticipated upward trajectory in the future. We can help in achieving this aim thanks to our collaboration with Paramount.

According to a statement he released today, "This is a component of Gagasan Nadi Cergas' delivery of roughly 10,000 affordable residences across Greater Klang Valley over the next five years."

Gagasan Nadi Cergas had already been hired by Paramount Group to construct a high-rise affordable housing project in Greenwoods Salak Perdana, Sepang, Selangor, prior to this contract.
